"God did not give you a gift to be used in the advance of His Kingdom and then give you an accommodating cowardice that would literally negate the gift."
Words about having courage in Christ …
Oftentimes, people get stuck in life because they’ve been hurt or betrayed, and they end up settling where they are. They allow the disappointment to keep them from the divine appointment. Don’t let that be you! Don’t let what somebody did or didn’t do for you be an excuse to live sour. Don’t let a bad break, a divorce, a betrayal or a bad childhood cause you to settle where you are. Move forward and God will pay you back. Move forward and God will vindicate you. Move forward and you’ll come into a new beginning.
Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. The loss of that loved one didn’t catch God off guard. The business that didn’t make it, the relationship that didn’t work out did not stop God’s plan for your life. Now, the real question is: are you going to get stuck, fall into self-pity, become bitter, let the past poison your future? Or, are you going to shake it off and move forward knowing that your best days are still up ahead?
"Jesus reveals there is only one thing that can empower you to sin no more, and that is radical grace. I’m talking about the kind of grace that defends the sinner from her accusers and turns a thief into a giver, a hater into a lover, and the chief of sinners into the apostle of grace. Rules don’t change people and abuse definitely doesn’t change people; grace changes people." -Paul Ellis
Jesus is constantly offering this grace to you; He’s just waiting for you to open your hearts and accept it.
His grace qualifies the disqualified. Whatever you’ve done in your past that makes you think Jesus can’t use you, can’t heal you, or wouldn’t want you..He will turn it around and use it for your good if you accept Him into your heart. Jesus can make the unusable usable again, heal the unthinkable and love you in spite of everything.
Jesus loves you
